Florida in November

Today is three weeks that we’ve been at Oak Alley RV Resort and we enjoy the park and the people in the park.

The pool is under construction It’s still nice to sit by the pool, in the sun, and listen to music. It’s not always sunny and warm. We’ve been having more than a few overcast days with rain and wind.

Sunsets are beautiful. The sun seems to set quickly though. If I do not go out as soon as I see the sun starting to go down, within a few minutes, the beautiful sunset is gone. I caught it at the right time this evening a week ago.

Oak Alley RV Resort is located in Webster, Florida. Webster is known for a flea market every Monday. It’s a huge flea market filled with mostly junk. Thankfully, we cannot buy anything as we do not have room for anything. It’s free to attend. We did pay $2 to park in a church parking lot. We walked around for a short while and then left.

Every week on a Tuesday and Thursday at 11 am is a PIYO class at the campground. This is a combination of Pilates and Yoga. Our instructor, Vickie is a good instructor. I, along with around 10 to 14 others attend each class.

We are close to a town called Bushnell. There is a cute little park in the center of town. I did attempt to play hopscotch. I did much better in my younger days. I wonder if kids these days even know what hopscotch is. We played also played jumping rope when I was a kid. Do you know or remember the rhyme Down in the Valley?

Down in the valley
Where the green grass grows,
There sat Linda
Sweet as a rose.

Oak Alley is adding more sites. It looks like the utilities, for the most part, are all installed. They are paving roads and laying down sod.

Good thing we only have three pups. Hubby’s lap could not fit another fur-pup. We all enjoy spending time on the deck.

The sun seems brighter in Florida. This sunset’s sun ball was so bright that after looking at the sun ball, I saw spots in my eyes for a good ten minutes.

It won’t be long before the whole park starts to decorate. Christmas will be here before we know it. Will I be a Humbug this year? I guess you will have to wait and see.

Meanwhile, back at the home base, my great-nephews are getting their first sight, or should I say their first “fright” of Santa. Who is that strange man and why am I sitting on his lap?

My PA family and Hubby and I do a gift exchange each year. There are 10 of us. This year, we used a program on the internet to pull names. This year we are not letting each other know who we are buying for. This should be fun. I have most of my gifts for the gift exchange already bought. We will pick a time at Christmas to open presents. We do this over Facebook portal since Hubby and I are in Florida. It won’t be the same as being there, but the next best thing.

God Bless, Stay Safe, and Be Kind to Every Kind.

    1. All three are supposed to be Shichons. Shichons are half Shih Tzu and half Bichon Frise. BooBoo in my opinion is the only one out of the three that is pure Shichon. I think Bella has much more Shih Tzu in her. Benji has more Bichon. All three are a delight and very well behaved. They love to travel.
