I Should Have Planned Better!

Months ago, when I was making my campground reservations for trip, I was very happy that I could get 7 nights at the same RV park in California. It was a few hours from Yosemite, but it was the closest RV park to Yosemite I could make a reservation for. Going to Yosemite was the only reason I booked this park. I figured we could go to Yosemite several days during this stay.

I should have done more research, but WHO KNEW???

We packed a cooler thinking it was going to be a long day. We got our snacks and dog treats packed and got the fur kids in the truck and headed out. Twenty minutes into our drive, we got to Yosemite Highway and saw a big sign saying reservations are required. I got out my phone and googled reservations for Yosemite thinking I could buy a reservation pass. Nope.

Yosemite National Park is one of the six for entry. As you can see by the reservation dates below, there is not availability until August 29. We will be long gone.

So now I see why I could get seven nights at this RV resort. There isn’t anything to do around here, except for Wineries. Hubby does not drink and I will have an occasional glass of wine. We bought two bottles of wine and Hubby bought a pie. A very expensive pie. The pie was horrible and we threw it away. You know how much Hubby likes pie so you have to know it was very horrible for us to throw it away.

Looks like I might get some pool time this week. Where in the heck did I hide my pool rafts? I’m sure I squeezed them in somewhere in here, but where? I’ll wash a load of clothes.

If you like wineries, this is a very nice RV park. Even if you do not like wineries, it is a nice RV park. It’s not a campground, so you will not see people sitting around a campfire at night toasting marshmallows and making s’more pies. The pavement is hot during the day, therefore, you will not see a lot of dog walking. First thing we do when we think we want to take our fur kids for a walk is to test the temperature of the pavement.

In the few days we’ve been here so far, we’ve had numerous neighbors. They come and they go. Right this minute as I write this post, both or neighbors have moved on and the sites are empty. I figure by later today, we will have new neighbors. The price for this RV park for us is $55 a night. We got a deal by booking for seven nights. I do like if you put your trash out by 10 am, they pick it up.

I will not be publishing many posts this week unless you want to hear about my doing laundry. Even I don’t want to hear about my doing laundry.

God Bless, Stay Safe, Be kind to Every Kind and when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Or, if you are stuck in an RV park with nothing to do, wash clothes.
