Crater Lake, Day 43. July 19, 2021 (part2)

So far, this is my favorite place to visit. Hubby’s is still Mount Rainier. Different strokes for different folks.

Steps to a viewing area.

It was not crowded the day we were there. Maybe because it was a Monday. We did not have trouble parking the Big Boy Truck in any of the parking areas. Booboo was enjoying the day.

Hubby captured this picture. A closeup of the mountain on the rim of the lake.

More snow on this mountain.

This mountain was a far distance away. We believe is was hazy due to the wildfires in that direction.

This picture was taken on the road leading to Crater Lake. Pine trees in Oregon are enormous.

This was the view of a lake on the road to Crater Lake. I snapped this picture from the Big Boy Truck window.

Some miscellaneous pictures captured both from the road to Crater Lake and from inside of the Crater Lake National Park.

Hubby and I commented on how small we feel when we are in these National parks. A friend of mine is also touring western United States. She posted pictures on FaceBook and I stole the following from herr post. This says it all:

America the beautiful! Spacious skies, amber waves of grain, purple mountain majesty and yes the fruited plain too! God blessed the USA.

God Bless, Stay Safe, Be Kind to Every Kind and if you have not been out west, it is a bucket list must.

    1. You should write a blog about your travels. We’ve been to so many places and stayed in so many campgrounds that I get them mixed up. I have to refer back to my posts to jog my memory. My husband goes to be earlier than me and he sleeps in later than me so I have a lot of time to write. It’s my alone time too. lol
