When we began this new way of life, we had several objectives in mind. Travel the US. Spend winters in warm areas. Spend time with family. We are meeting all three of our objectives. We spent last winter in warm weather. We will spend this winter in Florida. We are traveling the United States. We are spending time with family. We spent a month with family in Pennsylvania recently. Now we are spending time with family in North Carolina.
And we are happy.

We are currently staying at the resort called Jennifer & Jim’s. Jennifer is my stepdaughter and Jim is her husband. They have an absolutely beautiful property and we are invited to stay anytime we want. We have 50 amp service and everything we need except for sewer. We have two bathrooms which equates to two black tanks so we are not too concerned.

Hubby and daughter spend some quality time together. They talk on the phone some, but nothing is as good as face to face time spent together.

Saturday was a perfect day for a family get together. We were going to have a cookout. Hubby’s brother Tom and his wife, Kathy came for the cookout. They live 45 minutes away. It was nice seeing them here in their home state. Tom and Kathy mentioned they were looking to relocate to Pennsylvania. They had lived in Colorado a while ago so they would be well aware of winter, cold and snow.

Good food, good conversation and relaxation. The weather was perfect. It was a nice day.
The food for the cookout was plenty and very delicious.
Jim and Jennifer know how to host a good cookout. Thank you Jim and Jennifer.

Their property is perfect for cookouts and parties.

The next day, Sunday, Hubby and Jennifer leave the homestead for the day. It is a great day for a father/daughter road trip to visit Jason at his camp. I elected to say behind and spend the day with the pups. It was initially supposed to be a day where we all would go. Jennifer, Jim, Hubby, the three pups and me. The more I thought about it, I volunteered to say behind. It would be a two hour drive each way. When we got there, we would be taking a ride on their pontoon boat. It would be way too much for us to handle with the pups and we could never leave them behind for a whole day. The pups could handle the day, but could we? I could not even imagine taking BooBoo, Bella and Benji on a pontoon boat with strange people they never met. By the end of the boat ride, Hubby would probably throw Barker Benji in the water and I could not have that. Just kidding. Benji is Hubby’s favorite, but Benji’s barking does take a beating on all of us.
Hubby had a great time but was ready to relax when they got back home. It was a long day for Hubby. First of all, Hubby had to get up earlier than he was used to.
All in All, it was a great day and Hubby thought Jason has a very nice camp.

Hubby got to spend quality time with his son, daughter-in-law, Kelly and grandchildren, Kierra and Jasmine.

I’m glad Jennifer and Jason got to spend time together. Both Jennifer and Jason own thriving businesses and their lives are very busy so it was nice for them to spend time with each other.

Hubby and his son Jason.

Don’t worry. I was not bored staying back at the 5th wheel with the pups. I did a job that has been waiting for me for months. I kept putting it off. Well, finally I took on the job of cleaning out the closet.

The Closet is cleaned and organized. Two loads of clothes were washed and put away. I got some rest and TV watching done. I taped the Penn State Football game for Hubby. It was a good day for me.

I know I sound like a broken record when I say time is flying by, but time is going by so quickly. Tomorrow, we need to start preparing for a travel day. We will be heading out on Tuesday. Our 12-night stay is coming to an end. I have to admit, I enjoyed our stay here but I am so looking forward to our next adventure. We are heading to Tennessee. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, here we come.
God Bless, Stay Safe, and Be Kind to Every Kind
