Breakfast, Travel Day & Wytheville KOA

The morning began for me with Avocado toast. Quick and easy. My sister has a “lady” that makes the best vegan bread. I had some frozen from when I was home last month.

I’m not a good cook and I like quick and easy. These Avocado minis make Avocado toast quick and easy. Spread it on toast, slice a tomato and season it. Yummy!

It’s a travel day and I always get an early start on a travel day. So much to do. I was lazy last night. All would have to wait for morning. It rained all day yesterday and all night last night. I heard the rain hitting the slide-out toppers all night. I didn’t sleep good for some reason. I don’t think it was the rain hitting the toppers that kept me awake. Now I’m thinking maybe it was the hot tea I drank before bed.

This morning I didn’t get the early start I wanted. I didn’t get up until 8 am. On travel days, I have a system. Hubby slept until 9 am. I don’t mind because hubby always wants to help and it throws me off of my system. I just remind hubby that check-out time is 11 am. He has outside work to do.

The pups travel so good. They trust us. They are fine as long as they are with us, no matter where we go. As always, they wait patiently for me to do my work. We are responsible pet parents and they limit what we can do but I can’t imagine traveling without them.

We are staying in a KOA in Wytheville Virginia for the next three nights. Nestled between the beautiful Blue Ridge and Allegheny mountains this campground is just one mile from Interstate 81. We are parked among other very big rigs. Some of these rigs make our 5th wheel look small. We have a concrete patio, a picnic table, full hook-ups and cable TV.

We have two full days here in Wytheville at the KOA. There are several things I want to do in this area. I want to hop back on the Blue Ridge. There is a big pencil I’m curious about and the home of First Lady Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace is here. Not sure what all we will get to do, but i’m sure pictures will be taken.

God Bless, Stay Safe, Be Kind to Every Kind.
