I do want to disclose the owner is a very nice man.   Most of the people that stay here are seasonal residents.  I wonder what they do in the winter.  We took a walk around the campground last night and a lady was watering her flowers in what appeared to be a nightgown,  They do not have the 10-year rule here.  If you don’t know what the 10-year rule is, most parks now days won’t let you reserve a spot if your camper is more than 10 years old.

The roads to get here were narrow and bumpy.  We probably drove this type of road for 20 minutes just to get to the campground.  Trees with low hanging branches were also an issue as some of the leaves from these trees got stuck in our awnings.  All we could hope for was that someone was not coming the other way.

We pulled into Meadow Vale not knowing what to expect.

The first thing we see is a dumpy old broken down motorhome parked on the side of the entrance road.  It looks like it quit running and someone just left it there years ago.

And here we are, all by our lonesome in a field.

Amenities included a swimming pool.  It is a small pool but appears to be nice.

The lake’s water is brown, the same color as our drinking water.  We ran to the store yesterday and bought a few gallons of spring water.  I was not using their water to do anything.

The office has a small camp store inside with a few items.  Stuff like milk, bread, and some canned food.  Small bags of chips.  There is a pavilion attached to the camp office also.  This pavilion has a small arcade.  That was what all of the lights at night are probably for.  After dark, that place is lit up as if it were Vegas.

Well, all in all, it was not that bad of a place to stay.  There was a lane of RV’s that were in a very wooded area.  Hubby asked if I wanted to walk around that area and I said “hell no”.

I was thinking that maybe the seasonal rate was low and that is why there are a lot of seasonal tenants living here and I was right.  These rates do not include sewer.  They have a honey wagon that comes around on Tuesdays and it is $15 to have your black tank pumped.

Oh well, it is what it is.  We are heading to Maine today.  The RV Resort we are staying at is around $80 a night with Good Sams discount.
