It’s May 9th. Back at the Homebase, look at what residents of PA and OH saw when they woke up. Pictures of this May snow flooded Facebook and Snapchat.
Where are we? We are stuck in Florida due to the Pandemic and I’m glad we are here. Living this life of RV travel, you gotta be flexible. But we have that luxury to a point. We have to be home semi-annually for doctor & dentist appointments. I figured we would come home each April and October for our medical appointments. Now I have to rethink this. We were supposed to come home last month, April. What if we did make it home last month. People do live in these 5th wheel RVs full time in cold weather but believe me, that is not for me. If we were in PA last month, we would have gone through propane tank after propane tank trying to keep it warm inside. We would have had to worry about our water lines freezing. Now, I’m wondering about May.
We must be home by June. 7th No exceptions. We need to leave Florida on June 1. Researching the travel route and campgrounds are as much fun for me as the actual trip. But now I’m not having fun. Due to Covid-19, many campgrounds are closed. We only drive 3 to 4 hours a day. It will take us 4 to 5 days to get home. We need campgrounds for 3 to 4 nights. Each campground I look at has the following message:
Keep reading my blog to see if I can find campgrounds to stop for the night. Enter your email and click follow me for notifications of new posts. Will we be stuck in Walmart parking lots at night? Good lord, I hope not.
God Bless, Stay Safe, and Be Kind.

Have you ever thought about Boondockers Welcome? We’ve used it only 3 times, but it has worked out great. Good luck!
