This is the “UGLY”. It’s been something like 19 hours straight and it is getting on my nerves.
6 am to 6 pm my butt. It started last night probably around 9 pm. Hubby was in bed and I yelled up to him asking if that noise was the wind. When you are in a 43.5-foot tin can and you have wind gusts of 40 mph and it is night outside it has to be in the back of your head, what is the worst that can happen?
We went to sleep but the wind did not stop and periodically it woke us up. Close to morning, it seemed like the wind had slowed down a bit, but that was short-lived.
As I sit here on the 19th hour and the tin can is rocking and rolling with each huge wind gust, I plead with mother nature to just STOP IT. It is on my nerves.
The wind advisory below says it will stop at 6 PM. A big wind gust just rocked us.
WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING… * WHAT…NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH EXPECTED. * WHERE…PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST TEXAS. * WHEN…UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING. * IMPACTS…GUSTY WINDS COULD BLOW AROUND UNSECURED OBJECTS. TREE LIMBS COULD BE BLOWN DOWN AND A FEW POWER OUTAGES MAY RESULT. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… USE EXTRA CAUTION WHEN DRIVING, ESPECIALLY IF OPERATING A HIGH PROFILE VEHICLE. SECURE OUTDOOR OBJECTS. &&
My eyes divert to the lake often. There are white caps on this small lake. Hubby teases that he is going to hang 10 on the lake.
It’s probably been 15 minutes since the last wind gust. Maybe this weather has moved on. Maybe mother nature has given me the long-awaited break I’ve been waiting for. It’s still windy but it’s quiet now. And the quiet although it seems strange I like it.

I can feel it with you! I was parked in Montana next to it son’s Air Force Base and I thought for sure we’d blow away with the wind. Never was I comfortable and had to move to a KOA where the 30 mph wind was ”blocked” by 10 ft fake palm trees 🤣😂
