Will We Come Back?

Why is it so peaceful and calming when you are in an RV site with a clear view of a lake or any body of water for that matter.  Picture this!  Right now it is dark outside but I have the window blind up and the window is open on the side of the 5th wheel that is facing the lake  There are lights on the other side of the lake that shimmer across the ripples on the lake. It’s 70 degrees outside and there is a slight breeze coming through the open window.  So I am sitting here on the couch watching Netflix and enjoying both the view of the lake and the cool breeze coming in through the open window.

As you already know from a previous post, we are at Lake Cove RV Park.  It’s nice but I don’t think we will be back.  Not because we don’t like it.  It is a nice park.  We are staying in Florida for 3 months next winter so we won’t be traveling to Texas for February.  And, since they have a 2 pet rule, I don’t think we will be welcome back, even though we are good tenants.

We’ve been on the road for a few months now and we have stayed in some really nice RV parks, this being one of them.  These parks would be awesome in the summer.  Each park we had the pleasure of staying in, as we walked around, we would say:  “This would be a great park if we were here in the summer”.  Well, it’s not summer. It’s winter and a little boring but I’m good with it.  I’m good with boring.

This park has a cool pool.  This pool would be great in the summer.  The pool is a few yards away from the lake.  In the summer the sun would be warmer, the pool water would be warmer and I would be relaxing by the pool.

It’s winter and the sun could be warmer, the water is freezing and I’m not relaxing by the pool.

Since it is winter, I will get my exercise walking around the lake.  I will take pictures of the ducks in the water.  I will be totally content just being bored.

Yes, it’s winter but guess what?  It’s not snowing.  It’s not blowing.  It’s not sleeting.  The roads are not snow-covered.  I’m not wearing boots, a heavy coat, gloves, and a scarf.
