The RV park we are staying in is located on a dead-end road. It looks like it is in the middle of nowhere. Since we’ve been here, we ventured out many times to Walmart, grocery stores, pet stores and an occasional exploratory drive to nowhere. Our longest day trip was to Daytona Beach. Today, just a short 15 to 20-minute drive from the Wekiva Falls RV Park is the Sanford Riverwalk.
The Sanford Riverwalk Trail follows the shoreline of Lake Monroe in Sanford, FL, north of Orlando. The riverwalk extends from US 17-92 to Mellonville Avenue and is one of the most scenic paved trails in the county, featuring views of Lake Monroe. The trail also provides access to historic downtown Sanford.
Sanford Riverwalk is a pet-friendly Trail. The pups were out of control today. I can’t say they all were out of control. Benji was. So we have to go back and walk along the river until Benji gets it. It was something new to him. He will get it with practice.
Flowers in December. Real flowers. (not a hanging basket of artificial flowers hanging off the light pole in your front yard Gerri).
We strolled down the walkway along the water.
Palm trees and blue skies. In the winter.
How cool would it be to live in a tiny houseboat.
How cool would it be to take a dinner cruise on the Barbara-Lee. From the homeport on Lake Monroe in Historic Downtown Sanford, the Barbara-Lee cruises the St. Johns River while providing a one-of-a-kind cruise. We did not take the cruise.
Will we go back? You betcha! We will be back. We will walk it again.
