Mayberry Campground, Mount Airy, NC New Green Acres RV Park, Walterboro, SC Review.

Mayberry Campground on 114 Bunker Road, Mount Airy NC is a peaceful RV park.

Although we did not have a street sign on our road, I thought this street sign was rather cool.  Behind the sign, a short climb up the hill sits our 5th Wheel & Truck.

We stayed at Mayberry Campground for 4 nights and 5 days.  We originally were supposed to stay for 2 nights.  We added 2 nights for several reasons.  The weather was supposed to be bad on Wednesday and because this was a holiday week, we felt the traffic would be bad and we had a 4 hour drive day.  Four hour drive times always turns into 5 or 6 hour days due to stops.

We liked Mayberry Campground.  We had a pull-through spot on the hill and had a view of the whole campground.  The way this site was situated, we had other campers in front and back of us, but no campers to the left or right.

We used electric, water, sewer and cable.  Everything worked.  The hosts were pleasant and helpful, especially when we asked to extend our stay.  We got to use our Passport America for 2 of the days and AAA for the days we could not use PA.  We would recommend this campground.

On Thanksgiving Day, we pulled into New Green Acres R.V. Park. It was a 4-hour drive from Mount Airy.  NORTH CAROLINA, YOUR ROADS ARE HORRIBLE.

When I called New Green Acres R.V. Park to make reservations, they were pleasant and very helpful.  We were told they would not be in the office on Thanksgiving Day but they had an after-hours booth and our map with our lot number would be there with my name on it.  Sure enough, it was.

Our site was a huge pull-through site.  It was easy to find.  We hooked up to Water, Electric, Sewer and Cable.

This appears to be an older park but very well kept.  The park has a huge pet park but we did not use it.  The Park is right off the interstate and our site was very close to the interstate but we have dual pane windows so the noise was kept at a minimum in our coach.  We got a great night’s sleep.

The sites at New Green Acres are spacious with large trees and plenty of pine needles making the lanes soft and easy to walk on for the pups.

We took a nice walk before calling it a day.

I liked this campground, but I do not think I would stay here for an extended period of time.  My personal review of this park for us it was perfect for a stopover.  I think the price was good for full hook-ups at $35.  I think many of the coaches here are long term residents.

The office is near our site and convenient.  There are a laundromat and propane on-site.  The pool is very nice but I think it is too cold to swim in.  It is currently closed but it might open during the day.
