Today is April 1st.  April fools day.  I’m not going to fool anyone today.

Today is my first actual day of retirement.  As the world gets up for work this morning, my day will consist of “not” getting up and going to work. I will be getting up early though.  Don’t want to sleep my days away.  I will continue to get up between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m.

This first week will feel like I’m just on vacation, even though I am smart enough to know better.  I’m not one of those that can fool myself.  For example, I don’t set my clock 10 minutes early to fool myself into making sure I am ready in time.  I know the clock is set 10 minutes early.

This morning, we woke up that white fluffy stuff on the ground we know as snow.  A full ground cover.  Appears to be 2 to 3 inches.  This is no April fools day joke.  Mehhh!

Today, I will conquer a room in the lower level of my home.  It is a room where I get dressed in the mornings.  I will take before and after pictures.  One room at a time until my home is ready to sell.
